Situation report

Overview

  •  Regional influenza positivity remained at 12% in both weeks 29 and week 31 of 2026 (Figure 1). 
  • SARS-CoV-2 positivity decreased over recent weeks, reaching 8% in week 29, before declining to 6% in week 31. (Figure 1). 
  • The predominant circulating influenza subtype has shifted from influenza B(Victoria) to influenza A(H3), which now accounts for 58% of all detections. (Figure 2).
